Anny Scardino brings know-how, reputation to Tri-State Insurance

SPOTLIGHT: You might already know Anny Scardino from her involvement in the 200 Club of Bergen County, the Meadowlands Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Meadowlands YMCA, or as an agent with Otterstedt Insurance. A familiar figure in Bergen-area business, Scardino is now giving Tri-State Insurance Agency a boost managing insurance accounts as its new business development officer.

Scardino, of North Arlington, is managing the insurance business from the new Rochelle Park office of Tri-State, a wholly-owned subsidiary of regional banking giant SussexBank.

Tri-State, which represents nearly two dozen of the country's most highly rated regional and national insurance carriers, serves businesses and individual clients in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania but is licensed to write policies in 15 states.

Scardino has the chops, with more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, over half of it with the Englewood Cliffs-based Otterstedt, where she most recently was a branch manager/producer.

She has also taken "taken specialized courses in property, casualty and health, along with programs in agency management, consulting and sales," Tri-State CEO George Lista said.

The move comes amid an expansion by Sussex Bank of its commercial lending and insurance services -- in part, by opening the new Rochelle Park office 201 West Passaic St.

SussexBank provides an array of services, from home financing to commercial loans and lines of credit to brokerage, investment, trust and other traditional banking services.
