Massage parlor gave more than rubdowns, prosecutor says

ONLY ON CLIFFVIEW PILOT: Detectives busted a massage parlor in Palisades Park that they said was giving more than rubdowns, seizing more than $375,000 in alleged proceeds.

The vice squad busted into Eve Spa at 7 West Washington Place after an undercover investigator posing as a customer was solicited for sex, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Arrested and charged with prostitution-related crimes were the business’s owner, Fenyu Xu, 53, and masseuse Han Zi, 38, both of Palisades Park.

Xu also was charged with money laundering in connection with the $377,000 seized. He’s being held on $250,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail. Zi, meanwhile, was released without bail.

The operation had been advertising online since at least January, Molinelli told CLIFFVIEW PILOT Friday nightg. So investigators went in and, after obtaining a consent to search, found the cash, he told the web site.

Interesting. If they were doing full service prostitution, it's incomprehensible that they would accumulate $375k. From what I understand that would add up to the house's share of 4k customers, not allowing for rent, utilities, advertising, and so on. There is some other business activity going here.
