ONLY ON CLIFFVIEW PILOT: A man climbed one of the George Washington Bridge towers Monday night but was talked down and rescued by Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police. "He is calm and cooperative now. He has changed his mind," a law enforcement officer told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

"He is near the top of the cables and wants to come down but needs help," the source said.
The bridge's upper level has been closed since the incident began earlier this evening.
