SUNSHINENJ: North Jersey delicacy slides into Shore

Imagine sitting on the beach this steamy weekend and having a tray of specialty sliders delivered right to your blanket. Steve Quilliam, who captured the taste buds of the locals in downtown Fair Lawn, sized up the “situation” in Seaside Heights -- and now has a Jersey Shore branch dishing out his Quilly's Gourmet sliders.

You'll get the same killer Lobster Roll sliders and countless varieties of others, with dozens of sauces -- some healthy, some absolutely sinful.

Since it’s Seaside, Quilliam has expanded the menu to include Jersey corn, gourmet hot dogs and -- what else? -- pickles on a stick. His delivery crew: girls in bikinis, of course.

Quilly’s Boardwalk still smells and tastes of home, with the familiar green and blue décor, and the artwork-for-sale that helped distinguish the Fair Lawn mothership.

The boardwalk shop isn’t the only new venture Quilliam will enjoy this year: Right around what is expected to be a frantic Labor Day weekend for Quilly’s Boardwalk, his wife is expecting.
