In fact, I hear tell the storm couldn't deal with the construction on Route 78, so it hung a right and headed to the ocean.
So we've been spared the blizzard that's walloping our southern neighbors. Roll back ino bed, secure in the knowledge that trees, power lines and weak roofs are still safe -- at least for now.
For once, we can thank the weather that rolls down from Canada. In this case, a low elbowed the intense, northern-moving blizzard out of our way.
When all is said and done, parts of the Shore could get up to 20 inches.
Anyone have a different story to tell?

... Got our superbowl chips here in Maryland before the store crowds purchased the last bags. Getting hit hard from the storm, but sitting here dreaming of the perfect days at the Jersey shore! Saying my prayers now that they don't get hit too hard, bcuz these winter days will soon pass and summer dreams of NJ beaches are not far away.... Stay cozy and enjoy your weekend great CV Pilot staff and readers! At least I'm lucky here to have my online CVP because my newsPAPER is under 2 feet of snow...... |
