Hudson gang stabbing leaves victim near death

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A Kennedy Boulevard gang fight left one man in extremely critical condition with a lacerated liver, another hospitalized and police in search of one of the combatants, a law enforcement source with knowledge of the incident told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Arrested and charged in the fight at the El Cuco tavern is Richard Pena, who police said is known as “Cabeza,” or the head, of the Trinitario street gang.

Police said Pena stabbed Jhonny Acevedo, who also is in his mid 20s.

Also found at the scene was Carlos Vellejo, who is in mid 20s, and was listed in extremely critical condition at Jersey City Medical Center with several stab wounds.

Police are looking for his assailant.
