ALERT: Brittany Murphy dead at 32

Brittany Murphy died this morning, apparently of a heart attack, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office has confirmed. A call reportedly came in at 8 a.m. (noon EST time), and Murphy was pronounced DOA at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, TMZ is reporting.

A short time ago, she said her New Year's resolution for 2010 was to have a baby. She told Access Hollywood she felt "blessed to have a really great loving husband (screenwriter Simon Monjack). I spend more time with my family than anyone else in the world"

Murphy'[s role in 1995's "Clueless" launched Murphy to fame, leading to prominent roles in "8 Mile," "Just Married," "Girl, Interrupted," "Sin City" and "Riding In Cars With Boys."
