Often times we think "I need more peace in my life." Or we ask " How do I find peace?" It might sound far-fetched to say your goal is to obtain peace. However, the desire connected with the universal energy will reveal that it's already within you.
Peace isn't something you can go buy off a shelf, nor something you can wish for and then get. There's a great quote from Neale Donald Walsch's "Conversations with God" that says: "If you do not go within, you go without."

To say you are looking for peace would be like saying, " I am looking for my lungs." Although we use our lungs and organs every day, we just trust they are doing their part (provided we are doing our best to be healthy!)
That is the same with peace, love and joy. We might not see it come through us every day or feel it every day, but it's there pulsing inside of you -- a gift that can be tuned into and discovered more and more every day.
And there are so many great tools to tap into that peace well of your inner self.
Meditation is the most readily available tool for diving within. Just sit in silence for five minutes and breathe. Try not to follow thoughts that arise. Label those thoughts "Thinking," let them pass through without trying to control them, and soon you'll come back to being and breathing.
You should also document your goal: putting pen to paper, writing it down, making it official! By simply writing it down, you let the universe hear your desire.
It all starts with being willing to stop looking for something "out there," so that you can get in touch with this gift that is waiting "in here"!
